* When playing, click the Wheel of Fortune logo in the bottom right corner to go to the wheel.

* Click anywhere on the Wheel to make it spin.

* Click the Question Mark in the bottom right corner to go back to the game board.

* Click the letter on the bottom of the slide and it will appear on the board.

* Click Yellow "End" button in the top left corner to end the game (Dr. VW's version).

All slides within this PowerPoint template can be edited, which makes it useable for any class and any concept.  Great review game.

Directions

1. Divide the class into three teams and choose a score keeper (or rotate this position).

2. Choose one member of each team to be the spokesperson.  They may confer with teammates while other Teams are

at play.  Remind students to whisper.

3. At the beginning of each round, contestants are given a category (e.g., person, place, thing, before and after) and

the board highlights the number of letters needed for the correct answer.

4. For the first round, randomly select which Team will go first.  For each subsequent round, the Team to the left of the

Team that started a round will go first.

5. The spokesperson must spin the wheel before each guess of a consonant, unless buying a vowel from their winnings

    or solving the puzzle.

A. If the chosen consonant is in the puzzle, the Team wins the cash amount multiplied by the number of times the

    letter appears in the puzzle.

B. If the chosen consonant is not in the puzzle, the Team loses control of the board to the next spokesperson.

C. To add a vowel to the puzzle, the Team must buy it. Vowels cost a flat rate of $250, regardless of how many of a

particular vowel there are in the puzzle (i.e., all As = $250, all Es = $250 etc.).

6. Remember, picking a letter that is in the puzzle does not necessarily guarantee you winnings.  You merely have the

amount credited to you, your receipt of this cash pending your Team winning the round.  These winnings must be

"locked in", so to speak, by winning the round.  If your Team does not win the round, any money credited to your

Team is lost.  All Teams "start fresh" each round, though any money credited and then "locked in" during previous

rounds is the Team's to keep no matter what happens.

7. If the spin lands on "Lose a Turn", your Team's turn is immediately over and control shifts to the next spokesperson.

8. If the spin lands on "Bankrupt", your Team loses all their money and your turn is immediately over and control shifts to

    the next spokesperson.

9. The team with the most money at the end wins the game!
