Race Track PowerPoint Template (click here)
Review Questions/Flashcards - there are 10 questions for each team in the PowerPoint. However, pressing the button in the top right corner of the slide will end the game with a winner (depending on which color button you click).
Directions
1. This game is suitable for the whole class to participate, but split into 4 groups. Create a 'hot seat' for each team and
assign each team a "runner" on the game board.
2. Ask Team 1 a question (or show a flashcard).
3. The student from Team 1 in the hot seat must answer the question.
* If they answer correctly, their runner will move ahead one space (clicking the box at top of slide).
* If they answer incorrectly, their runner does not move ahead one space.
4. Give each team 1-2 'lifelines'. These lifelines can be used if the student in the hot seat does not know the answer, then
they may ask 1 teammate for help. However, once a teammate has served as a 'lifeline' they cannot be used again in
this capacity during the game.
Extra Things
The final prize goes to the whole team - not just the individual who answered the winning question.
