This app is the 'high tech' version of the Movie Music lesson

 

Materials

 

* iPads

 

* Loopseque app

 

* Headphones (optional)

 

* A one minute video clip.  I use the first minute of the opening scene (i.e., Tour de France) from Pee Wee's Big

  Adventure 

 

 

 

Preliminary Step - Watch a video of a Loopesque demo and listen to Loopesque compositions like the below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Directions

 

1. Demonstrate some of the basic features of the app, such as creating/recording buttons, creating a loop, recording a

    loop, and saving work.  

 

 

2. Provide students with Loopseque tutorial (click here).

 

 

3. Ask students to create sounds that have either all rhythm or a combination of both melody and rhythm, and be 30

    seconds to 1 minute in length.

 

4. Allow the students time to explore the app and create. 

 

5. Ask students to save work, then email their finished work to the teacher's email.  

 

6. Present compositions for the class.
